3. Post-Wise Vacancies & Reservation Matrix

4. Eligibility Criteria, Age Limits & Required Certifications (As on 31.07.2026)

Candidates must fulfill the minimum prescribed academic qualification, mandatory certifications, and full-time post-qualification experience as on the benchmark cut-off date of 31 July 2026:

A. Trade Finance Officer — JMGS-I (Junior Management Grade Scale I)

  • Age Limit (as on 31.07.2026): Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years (Born between 01.08.1996 and 31.07.2005, both dates inclusive).
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Graduate (any discipline) from a Government recognized University or Institution.
  • Mandatory Certification: Certificate in Forex Operations from IIBF (Certificate must be dated on or before 31.07.2026).
  • Mandatory Experience: Minimum 1 Year post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations mandatorily in an Officer/Official role in any Scheduled Commercial Bank (preferably as a Maker).
  • Preferred Certifications: CDCS (LIBF), CSDG (LIBF), CTFP (ICC Academy), Global Trade Certificate (GTC), Certificate in International Trade Finance (CITF by LIBF / IIBF) dated on or before 31.07.2026.

B. Trade Finance Officer — MMGS-II (Middle Management Grade Scale II)

  • Age Limit (as on 31.07.2026): Minimum 23 years, Maximum 32 years (Born between 01.08.1994 and 31.07.2003, both dates inclusive).
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Graduate (any discipline) from a Government recognized University or Institution.
  • Mandatory Certification: Certificate in Forex Operations from IIBF (Certificate must be dated on or before 31.07.2026).
  • Mandatory Experience: Minimum 3 Years post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing mandatorily in an Officer/Official role in any Scheduled Commercial Bank.
  • Preferred Certifications: CDCS, CSDG, CTFP, GTC, or CITF (LIBF / ICC Academy / IIBF).

The official basic pay scales applicable for the regular Specialist Cadre posts are governed under standard banking industry pay matrices:

6. Job Profile & Key Responsibility Areas

As detailed in Section C of the recruitment advertisement, Trade Finance Officers are responsible for the end-to-end processing and validation of trade transactions:

Maker Role — JMGS-I Functions:

  • Inputs trade transactions, scans, and uploads relevant documents into banking systems.
  • Handles TI+ data entry for trade finance transactions.
  • Conducts document scrutiny before submission for approvals.
  • Inputs screening data and facilitates correct data entry into relevant screening systems.
  • Maintains turnaround time (TAT) and achieves prescribed operational productivity norms.

Checker Role — MMGS-II Functions:

  • Conducts TI+ checking to validate transaction details.
  • Performs document scrutiny to verify accuracy against trade guidelines.
  • Facilitates screening scrutiny against sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies.
  • Validates compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as an OFAC releaser maintaining adherence to regulatory compliance, sanctions screening, and transaction approvals.

*Note: Both Maker and Checker officials are required to work in operational shifts as determined by Bank requirements.

7. Selection Methodology & Interview Marking Scheme

The selection procedure consists of two sequential stages without a written examination:

  1. Shortlisting: Mere fulfillment of minimum educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Shortlisting Committee constituted by the Bank determines shortlisting parameters and selects candidates for interview.
  2. Personal Interview (100 Marks): The personal interview carries 100 marks. The qualifying cut-off marks in the interview are decided by the Bank.
  3. Final Merit List: The merit list for selection is prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in the interview only. In case of tied marks at the cut-off point, candidates are ranked according to age in descending order.
