The posts of Junior Engineer and Scientific Assistant in IMD are classified as Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial positions in Pay Matrix Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/-) of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Applicable central government allowances (Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance) and deductions are governed as per prevailing Central Government service rules.

• Nationality: A citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1 January 1962.

Candidates must apply through the official portal ssc.gov.in using their One Time Registration credentials:

1. Step 1 (One-Time Registration): Visit ssc.gov.in and click on ‘Register Now’ if you are a new user. Complete Aadhaar authentication, personal details, contact information, and set your password.
